Eli’s Fun Fabulous Fantastic Florida Excursion and Snorkeling Day #4

9:13 am- Today’s itinerary is: 1-Pick up breakfast at Wendy’s, 2-Pick up swim floaties and water at Walmart, 3-Drive to the Everglades for an airboat tour, 4-Figure out the rest later.

Eli has been Mayreen’s favorite nephew
since he was 4 years old
Not every day you pass an alligator on the road.

We really enjoyed the airboat tour. The driver even gave Eli a turn driving:

Yes, that’s an alligator lurking in the water.

After the tour, we met up with a couple of Mayreen’s friends for lunch at a local restaurant recommended by our tour guide. The food was delicious. I had a crab cake sandwich. My sister and friends ordered alligator and frog leg appetizers. Yes, alligator tastes like chicken. I can’t speak to the taste of frog legs, since my only experience was experimenting on them in physiology lab in college.

Eli was very tired by this time, so we drove back to the hotel and took a nap. The rest of the evening was spent swimming in the pool and playing “Among Us” in our room (it’s an app).
